Spring is in the …..house

Hi Everyone

I have taken a couple of weeks off of blogging because my life has been CRAZY   a little busy. I have wanted to sit down at one point almost every day but time would disappear. Do you know what I am talking about? Even at almost 20 (sis is a birthday girl on Friday the big 2-0) 18 and 13 the kids still keep me hopping.

Speaking of hopping it is almost Easter. I have had some spring decor up for a while and have slowly been adding to it. So even though outside is gray and rainy I have a little sunshine in my house.

Trader Joe’s had these perky Daffodils for $1.29 for a bunch of 10, you can’t say no to adding a little color to your house or work at that price. This bunny, my Mom gave to me and I absolutely LOVE it. I love the color, the texture and the sweet little bunny face.

Even Mr. Old Window got into the act with a Moss letter D, a craft I made last year inspired by the Pottery Barn initials here. I added some egg ornaments, Chenille chicks and a “Spring” banner I made with paper and embellishments from My Minds Eye.

My vignette on the wine refrigerator made with an silver chalkboard tray, some dollar bin Target Easter eggs, grass and chevron paper basket. The Egg topiary I had from last year.

So wherever Spring has found you I hope you are enjoying all of the beautiful colors, even if it has to be inside for now!

Short and Sweet (not me the post silly)

Good Morning

Sorry for the play on words but I couldn’t resist.

I just wanted to share a couple of quick budget buys that I have made and want to share because they are inexpensive but great products.

The first is from Target( Tarjeey)

RE Towels from Target $4.99

Room Essentials® Fast Dry Towel

These bath towels I bought as a quick attempt to inexpensively dress up my bathroom before company was coming over. At only $4.99 each for white towels just to hang and look pretty I thought to myself what the heck. They looked nice hanging in the bathroom until one of my teenage boys used the “for looks only towel” as a real one. So off to the washer and dryer it went. I thought to myself the perfection would be gone, but oh no I was completely wrong. It turned into this amazing soft fluffy towel. It absorbs water is super soft and dries out quickly. Plus usually once a month Target puts them on sale for $4. I am slowly getting rid of my old “wedding gift towels” and completing a set of white fluffy towels. They have lasted in the same condition for almost a year now. Why spend more on towels especially with teenage boys around???????

My second favorite inexpensive product right now is a beauty product. I don’t know about you but I think I have tried almost every mascara out there from $30-$6.99. Never finding complete perfection. But by golly I think I have found it. I am completely smitten I must say, every morning when I put in on little hearts flutter above my head as my lashes go from barely anything to long and pretty.

Walmart sells it for $5.94 and I had a $1.00 off coupon. Take that Dior. When was the last time you spent $4.94 on a mascara and fell in love?

Have a great day! The sun is shining here in Napa Valley.
